Thang Long Project Management Board has just submitted to the Ministry of Transport for approval the adjustment of the feasibility study report Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway construction investment project, belonging to the North-South Expressway Project in the Eastern period. the 2017-2020 period in the form of PPP.
- Accordingly, the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet highway with the starting point on Highway 1 to My Thanh (Binh Thuan), the end point connecting with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway, in which the length of the section the expressway is 99 km, the section linking the expressway with National Highway 1 is 2.6 km.
- The route is planned with 6 lanes and a designed speed of 120 km / h. Phase 1, the project will build a 4-lane highway with a width of 25 - 27 m. Total investment of phase 1 is VND 18,139 billion, of which construction cost is VND 11,012 billion.
- It is known that the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet highway project (the new name for the investment project to build the North-South expressway project Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway) was approved by the Ministry of Transport in the Decision. No. 1495 / QD / BGTVT of July 7, 2011, passing through 2 provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Thuan. In particular, the length of the route in Binh Thuan province is 47 km, through two districts of Ham Tan (23 km) and Ham Thuan Nam (24 km).
- According to Report No. 57 / BC-UBND dated March 7, 2018 of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province on the implementation of the North-South Expressway project in the section running through Binh Thuan, the province is requesting the Ministry of Transport. soon agree on the scale of investment, the scope of site clearance under the new policy to conduct re-measurement as a basis for compensation and payment to households. At the same time, allocating funds for localities to implement the work of compensation and site clearance.
- According to the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province, after the project is approved, all work related to the project is implemented in a hurry by the relevant departments, districts and towns. People in the districts involved in the project knew about the policy, the meaning, and importance of the construction of a highway. All of them are willing to allocate land to the project and keep the status quo waiting for compensation clearance, in addition to short-term cultivation.
- Thang Long Project Management Board said if approved, the project will start to select investors from Q2 / 2019; Construction started in the first quarter of 2020 and completed after 36 months of construction.
