- The TBM robot has a length of 70m and weighs up to 300 tons, after completing the first tunnel, this robot continues the task of drilling the second tunnel in the west connecting from Ba Son Station through Ton Duc Thang Street, Ngo Van Nam, Nguyen Sieu ... to TP Theater station is also about to be completed.


- So far, this robot has officially completed a tunnel in the east, underground section of Ba Son station - Opera House, the total length of the tunnel is 781 m, installed 3,900 basement panels. This is the 2nd tunnel under the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro railway system No. 1. This tunnel has a depth of 10m - 20m underground.


- Currently the construction unit has installed 470m of tunnel. Each day, about 10m of tunnel cover can be installed. According to the representative of the joint venture contractor Shimizu - Meada (Japan), after completing the installation of tunnel covers, rails, the construction unit will urgently install lighting systems and auxiliary works under the tunnel to handing over the project on schedule. The underground metroline tunnel system in Saigon is an important work under the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro project with a total capital of 2.49 billion USD (over 47,000 billion VND) which was started in August 2012. Nearly 20 km long, the route passes through districts 1, 2, 9, Binh Thanh, Thu Duc (Ho Chi Minh City) and Di An town (Binh Duong). Of which, 2.6 km go underground (3 stations) and more than 17 km overhead (11 stations). The project is expected to be put into operation in 2020.
